平成22年9月22日より27日までの6日間，シンガポールのテマセクポリテクニックの学生と教員22名が熊本高専（熊本キャンパス）を訪れ，電子制御工学科5年生と交流活動を行いました．

交流プログラムは，教育GPものづくりコンテストを活用した国際化教育とジョイントして行われました．ものづくりコンテストでは，LEGO Mindstormsを用いた自律移動ロボットを，本校学生2名とポリテクニックの学生2名による混成チームで製作し，ロボットのオリジナリティや完成度を競いました．文化交流活動では，研究室ツアー，オムロン阿蘇（株）の工場見学,阿蘇自然探訪，熊本城への歴史散策など多岐に亘りました．

ものづくり活動や文化交流活動を通して，両校の学生はより一層親睦を深めることができました．

Thanks to KNCT staff and students for the warm hospitality and welcome for our TP students and staff during the JSXP 2010 exchange programme at KNCT.

Students from the two institutions have learned much about each other culture during the programme. In addition, they have also learned together as a team to build robotic projects and conduct project presentation.

Our TP students have a wonderful time in Japan, learning about Japanese culture and food, visit Mount Aso, Kumamoto Castle, Omron ASO and also enjoyed the wonderful cool autumn weather and playing football.

We sincerely welcome you, your staff and students to visit Temasek Polytechnic and Singapore soon.
